ILLUMINATE - WHAT TO EXPECT
ILLUMINATE is an innovative and exclusive experience! A real life photographer (not just a tablet) and an onsite editor bring a new and exciting twist to the guest experience! Below are a few items we need from you in order to provide everyone with the best possible experience!
We will be bringing - a few pieces of lighting equipment listed below: ** this is a wish list of ours, so if there are any issues on the below, please let us know ASAP so we can make sure we are prepared!
(If there are concerns with these affecting event aesthetic, let us know so we can make sure we dont interfere!)
2 or 3 - light stands each with a 2-4ft soft box attached. This sets the studio quality lighting and photos.
2-3 personnel - 1 photographer and 1 editor and in some cases, an assistant.
1 small printer that will print a 4x6 image. (if your package included printing)
IF your package included a backdrop, we will bring that along with the stands required to set it up. Not all packages include this so if you did not expressly order one form us, we will not be bringing a backdrop.
Set Design Example
What we need from you:
A 15ft x 15ft (roughly speaking, we can work in a smaller space if needed) space to set up the lights and position the guests. **Don’t forget about the floor. If you are in a ballroom, odds are the carpet is not going to fit the design.
Small table & linen(to match the event) and chair for the editors work station. This table will also where the printer will set.
Decor and design for the “scene” the guests will be in. This one is important. Often times we work with the planning or production team that is in charge of the rest of the event. Please let us know if you would like creative direction on any of this as we love to be a part of the design process in hopes of making it easy on you! We will not be bringing any props. As your event is as unique as your clients or guests, we find it works the best for the setting in which we photograph the guests to be a custom designed set inline with the theme of the event worthy of photos by itself!
Also helpful to have: (usually set to the side for use to use or not use depending on the group)
1-2 bar stools, small chairs or other unique moveable seating.
a small foot stool or side table like poof or something someone could sit on
Bar stools and chairs are helpful when a group wants a photo. We can simply stage those to the side of our space and pull them in when needed. This just helps with creating unique photos where people aren’t just standing in a line!
Again, we love to be a part of the design process and can even do much of it for you, just let us know how we can best work together for accomplish this! Re-purposing other event decor (say from the ceremony or a statement piece that is not used during the dinging) is also a great way to make the most of this opportunity.
Wifi - this one is super important. One of the perks of ILLUMINATE is that we edit and upload the images in real time to a website that the guests can access to download the images right on the spot. An admin network is best, one with a password and NOT an “Agree to terms” Wifi.
A working outlet near by. We will bring an extension cord, but if there is not an outlet within 20ft of our set up location, we ask that an extension cord be run closer to us.
Below is a quick gallery to review some initial concepts to get you thinking of the possibilities. Easy, small build or repurposed decor, maybe an extra chair rental to two… It doesn’t have to be complicated, but if you want the best, think intentional, lets do something unique!
